Trio DePaz

A combination of English and Spanish, Trio DePaz derives its name from “El Trío de Paz” which translates as “The Peace Trio.” Comprised of three talented, dedicated, and caring individuals, the trio longs to convey peace through its music. Grace Lyden (piano), Hannah Mayer (cello), and Luke Witchger (violin) formed the trio in August of 2007.  Trio DePaz has worked with faculty from the Omaha Conservatory of Music, the University of Nebraska at Omaha, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, and the Omaha Symphony. In March of 2008, the trio placed second in the Lincoln Friends of Chamber Music Society’s Young Artist competition.  On June 1st they released Harmonize, a compilation of the trio’s favorite works.
